HGTECH hosts 'Elite Talent Tour Optics Valley' event
From July 16 to 18, the talent work bureau of the Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC), in collaboration with Huagong Technology Industry Co (HGTECH), organized the "Elite Talent Tour Optics Valley" event, with 24 students and alumni from Tsinghua University and Peking University participating.
At the welcome ceremony, Zhang Qin, vice-president of HGTECH, outlined the event's objectives and itinerary, hoping this event could help students explore industries and projects that they were interested in, igniting their passion for learning and innovation over the three days.

Ge Yonglin, a teacher from Tsinghua University's career development guidance center, emphasized the school's focus on employment and expressed hopes for continued deep collaboration between academia and companies.
During the three-day tour, participants rode the Optics Valley Suspended Monorail, explored the Laser Technology Museum, and visited high-end equipment production facilities. The experience not only showcased Wuhan's cultural charm but also immersed them in OVC's vibrant innovation.
At the farewell ceremony, an official from OVC highlighted the zone's rapid development and its emphasis on talent. He welcomed the students to settle and showcase their talents in the promising OVC, a national-level optoelectronic information industry base.

Dr Yu, chief technology expert of Silicon Photonics at the HGTECH Central Research Institute and a Tsinghua alumnus, shared his academic, professional, and research journey, urging students to seize the moment and strive for the country's development.
This edition of the event offered young talent deep insight into Wuhan's OVC and explored a new model for attracting university talent. Following the event, some students will continue to intern at companies in OVC.
